Basic Digital Skills For Designers－Record Sound to Create Something

  Task – Students are required to gather sounds of their environments, such as apartment, at night, the studio, the canteen etc. These sounds should be listened to, and using digital tools images should be produced that describe the sounds you have recorded. Think about using colour and shapes but avoid using recognizable images. Photo manipulation, and illustration software would be good tools. In your blog explain why you have used the tools you have, and what you have discovered about sound.

  I record the sound at rain day.

Process

First i put the water than i star to print color. This isthe wet and dry painting.

  In my eyes blue color is water's color, so i used light blue, blue and dark blue to express water. And yellow and red color means sunshine.

Painted the lower half of i used gray to express rain the kind of hazy feeling.

Final i used tissue to print to express rain in the ground.

Then I used Photoshop adjustment to change different color make the work become nicer.

Transportation

  For transportation we have public and private. In big cities most of the citizens they choose public transport. It’s more convenient for them because their routes are all the same every day. They don’t choose the private transport one of the reason is modern cities always have traffic jam. And when they reach the destination they still have to find the place for parking. And the fees that cost when crossing the borders of the provinces relatively will be less.

  Public: Bus, taxi, rail, plane
Bus: shuttle bus (short distance) and coach (long distance)

  Shuttle bus is for short distance like around the town areas and the coach is for long distance travel, like travel to another city or country.

  Taxi is more on personal function.  Sometimes you can share with others or just only you. The driver will straight take you to your destination, you don’t have to spend your time on waiting others. But the fees will be more expensive.

Rail

  Rail transport is another main transportation among the citizens who live or have to work in cities. In Malaysia, our rail transport was organized by different company.

Plane

Private

  Private transport is more usual in not-so-modern cities. The atmosphere around that will not sound so busy at all.

With a car, you can go anywhere you want.

  A laptop computer is a personal computer. It is the very important tool to communicate with world in new generations nowadays.
It is far more convenient than the desktop and it has very powerful functions
You can play musics, watch movies, read news, do your work with photoshop or illustrator, draw something using other softwares, play games,
 For example, an office worker managing their e-mails during an hour-long commute by train, or a student doing his/her homework at the university coffee shop during a break between lectures.

Chargers

  Chargers are something that very important in our lives. Since everything that we use is based on power supply, without chargers, your phone, computer, ipod, etc, will be out of function the moment they run out of battery.

Picture

  Picture is a new way to communicate with people nowadays.

Like facebook, people share their situations through posting pictures on facebook, like “I am in the bar!” or “Dinner now!” etc. Sometime pictures possess more messages than words like photos on Flickr. And sometime showing a picture is easier than using words to describe something.

  msn: windows live messenger  is an instant messaging client.
it is a very good software to chat with people at the same time you can share pictures or send files to them.


Internet
  Long time ago, we used to get updated through book, newspaper, television, telephone, film, etc.
But now, internet has become the most common way to communicate with the world in our generations. Instead of reading newspaper, we would rather go to facebook and see what’s new.
Besides that, internet is also the biggest library in the world. It stores tons and tons of information that waiting for the right time to be found by someone.
We can also book tickets from cinema or buy things that you want from example like amazon, ebay, taobao…etc.
You can find friends that are also interested in the field as you are, and gather around to discuss with them. Facebook, twitter, weibo, forums are the place for you to chat and share your things. It’s like an online coffee shop, where you get to talk and relax.
Now with the advertisements, people can also get job online.
With a Wi-fi connection, you can have the whole world.

Basic Digital Skills For Designers－Optical Illusions

  Task - Using Google or similar search engine, locate and investigate the work of Bridget Riley. You will notice the use of line and shape to produce optical illusions. Using this as a basis use any 'vector based' tools you wish to generate your own works of optical illusion. Experiment with variation and colour. You may wish to use pencil paper and / or paint to explore your options. Consider the different working methods between 'hand drawn' and digital working. Look for the 'moire' patterns in particular.

I use Chinese ink did this. Form front you can see the old man look vary angry. When you rotate the image you can see the old man look so happy.

  Hey, my name is Li Xingyi.I really like animals and i have a cat and rabbit. The cat's name is Zhaocaimao means Lucky cat but i call her maomao. My cat very cute and beautiful. My friend says she looks like tiger. In fact, her courage like a mouse lol..My rabbit's name is Dawusheng means My Kingdom. My rabbit eat anything my shoes, my charger, my paper, potato anything can eat or can not eat thing she eat it. Every time i When i feed the cat, the cat use walk, the rabbit will be flying and every time she ate cat food more than cat.  

  Someone gave me the nickname Nezha. A Chinese mythological figures, legends She has eight arms, foot Hot Wheels. My a lot of friends call Nezha even they can not remember my real name. 

  I really do not like computer, i do not like play games, i do like net play. I think play computer is the most boring thing in the world. 

  I like drawing, i like colors, i like hold the brush, pencil that feeling. 

  Seriously  i like cooking and i am a good chef. Sometimes when i feel boring i will cooking even i not hungry just for more fun.

  My best dream is stay on the bad all today. I like bed. And my must keep clean i do not like anybody set or stay on my bed.

 I drew BBQ because when with my friends cooking BBQ i will feeling so happiness. I like really BBQ. BBQ funny, delicious. Every time when stay in class i will feel so cold and i always forget bring the coat, so i really want the hot tea. In fact i do not like cake because i do not like any sweet food, but i like look the cake and every time when i see the cake i will have a good mood. I like cake only for watch.

  In the beginning I want to do a round cake box, but failed. Because the polystyrene board will be break. So I changed to do a square cake box.

I stick the four polystyrene board for fixed cake box. 

I cut a lot of holes for more use in the box.

For the cake box look more beautiful, i used polystyrene board to do ornaments

In order to fixed the ornaments i add toothpick.

Look! You can put the pen, knife anything you want on the holes.

You can put some book paper insider. 

Basic Digital Skills For Designers－The box of 5 object

  Task-Each student must bring a box. Pick minimum any 5 items and put in the box. Each student has to creatively create 'anything' out of the item that they found in the box and fully utilize the entire item. They must record theprocess by a using any digital medium.

 I change the box with my friend zongqi. He put CD, paper cup, Bubble gum, Contact lenses, coin inside the box. I have to use these 5 the items to create something in very creative way.

 When i saw these five things 'OMG, what is this', and thinking how can i use these five things to create one thing.

 Actually i did not what i can do, i just want use what color to print the CD, because i think this CD look so ugly. So i used black color to print CD and Paper cup. When i done i knew what i can do. Black makes me think of owl, so i used bubble gum did owl's nose. Contact lenses did owl's eyes. Coin did owl's mouth. And i used my figer to print owl's feather.

I want owl more cute so i add two clips did owl's ear.

Graphic design 2_Guide To Life Book

  I did a lot of research and sketch, finally i chosen Away from the pressure as my theme.

  I think most people have seen Journey to the West. When the Monkey King was under pressure in the mountain, his master to save him, tore off the seal of his that symbol. I put on my cover,  the mountain represents pressure, the Monkey King represents have  pressure's people. Means that if you do not have master, want to leave this pressure of the mountain please look this book.

  In life we will have many problems when these problems bothering you. You need to find and solve problems.

  The first picture means the problems pressing people can not breath. The second picture means the pressure represents nail, a hammer  represents need to solve the problem.

  More reasonable use of time.

  In some people's eyes, only three things, work, eat, sleep. Some people they know how to use of time to work, sport, make friends, go to the party. The same work some people can make reasonable use of time to do other things.

Appropriate sports can to help relieve the pressure.

  A good sleep, but not excessive. When someone feel pressure, someone insomnia, and someone to sleep to pass the time.

  Change the way of speaking.

  When you feel pressure to speak easily hurt other people, this way only add the pressure you need to change speak by a warm way. 

  Eat on time and do not eat too much.

  In order to relieve pressure, and some people eat too much, some people do not eat or drink. These two way only increase the pressure of the people.

  The right amount of smoking, the right amount of drinking. 

  Drink, hindering the ability to solve problems. Smoke,  does not help to solve the problem , and  no good  for health.

  Amount of sports. Find more relieve the pressure of outdoors sports.

  Get more help from friends.

  When with a lot of people thinking a one problem, the problem will be simple. So I design a lot of people but they have a one head.

  The way of the relaxation.

  I design this like an open book. Books inside have a lot of knowledge, knowledge means ocean, swimming in the ocean, get rid of pressure.
